If I have not played my guitar in several days, I use the sapphire metal file to initially shape each right-hand nail surface then I use the nano glass file to smooth each nail surface then lastly, I further refine the smoothness of each nail tip with the finishing sandpaper. This produces very smooth tip for each right-hand nail plucking the strings. Although here are other 500-grit sandpapers found is most hardware stores, this particular 3M type is not available.
I also use the sapphire metal file to sand down my very heavy and hard left-hand finger-tip callouses. This greatly improves my sliding up and down the finger fret board and improves my slurring techniques (hammer-on and off and trills with the left-hand fingers).
I’ve been playing classical guitar for well over 25 years and have tried numerous types of sandpaper for my nails but by far this is the best I have ever encountered. Highly recommended.

Love these papers. Better feel and sound when I use them. Wish they were a little cheaper, but I could say that about a lot of things.
